There’s a new event to see in San Angelo! The Skateboard Competition at the Pop Art Museum-125 W Twohig Ave is going to be a blast! Skateboard enthusiasts can contend in the half pipe or street competition on Sunday December 31st.
The Skat Competition was created to give back to the San Angelo skate scene. “A half pipe is one of the things that San Angelo doesn’t have, so I thought it would be cool for us to build one and have an event based around that. As well as trying to raise awareness on having multiple parks throughout San Angelo. That way different parts of town can enjoy different skate spots,” stated Chris Adams, artist and event host.
This is a free event for all spectators and participants. There will be food and drinks available from 12:00pm to 3:00pm.
Competitions begin at 5:00pm and end at 10:00pm .Winner announcements will take place following the competition. Stick around for a product toss and a toast to bring in the new year!!
